Restore Jacksonville was held in Jacksonville Florida’s historic downtown corridor, where a vibrant mix of small shops and quaint pocket parks complement outstanding turn-of-the-century architecture.  Lectures held Saturday, October 13th were hosted at the city's stunning new Main Library on Hemming Plaza. Designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern, the Main Library is 300,000 square feet with the capacity to hold one million books. It is easily accessible by both public and private transport, with a 600-space parking garage across from the library building on Duval Street. The ground level conference center features state-of-the art technology, and has been designed to ensure maximum participant flow. Plus, ample exhibition space is available for vendors looking to market preservation-minded products and services.

Guided neighborhood tours were held Sunday, Oct. 14th, visiting downtown architectural landmarks, as well as sites within the national historic districts of Riverside Avondale and Springfield. From Colonial and Mediterranean Revival, Georgian, and Shingle Style, to Queen Anne/Victorian, Tudor and Bungalow styles, the architectural richness and diversity of homes here is remarkable. Fully 76 percent of the city’s recorded historic resources are located within the downtown corridor.
